Lamonster risers for the 2020 RT
I wanted to give a shout out/review for the all new Lamonster Garage 2" risers for the 2020 RTs.
In my quest to find the right arm position I first tried the short reach bars, but found them to be wrong. Too close and a weird angle. So I next tried the 2" Rox Risers. The position was good, but I found there to be a minor feeling of disconnection in the road feedback. Honestly, most riders wouldn't notice, but I'm picky and I did.
After I got the Rox Risers, Joe and others discovered the stock F3 bars fit. I was pretty much all set to buy a new one, but then I found out that Lamont was working on a riser, so I waited for him to release his version.
I had bought other products of his and I'm a big fan of the quality and thoughtfulness of the engineering of the parts. So depending on pricing I figured I spend my money with our site owner and a small businessman. The product was released and the pricing was similar to the OEM F3 bars, so I ordered and received the Lamonster riser.
In short, they're amazing. Super high quality in manufacturing and finishing. They look completely OEM and fit perfectly. Four bolts and done. (I had already snipped the internal wire ties.) It puts the arms into a more appropriate riding position, which of course, varies from rider to rider. However, I think the rider's arms are now placed in a much better position that most will find near to ideal.

I can highly recommend the product!!

Thanks for the review. I'm in EXACTLY the same situation that you were in and I'll be receiving Lamonster's riser any day. My dealer did the initial bar switch, but I'll attempt it myself this time. What size socket will I need to buy to fit the bolts? Thanks.

Bolts come with the kit. They're high quality stainless steel. The original bar bolts are T45 and the new ones are metric Allen head M8.

I'm 6'3" tall; so, having the bars closer to me is not an issue. However, it would be nice to have the bars a couple of inches higher, which for me would reduce shoulder and arm fatigue. Will the Lamonster riser fill my needs?

It said it will give you a 2 inch rise!!

Yes, but, the OEM handlebar mount is also angled slightly forward. You will still have the bars moved closer to you based on the handlebar design...

As was stated, the handlebar mounts are slanted, so the 2" rise is more of a up and back alignment. If you just want a taller bar, then I would suggest the BRP attitude bar, which raises the bars, more like a chopper/ape hanger type bar.

I've got one on order and look forward to the reduced reach. Despite having "monkey arms," I find the reach just a bit too far, especially on long rides.

These should work for most everyone. You can roll the bars up some also to get more rise and less pull back.
We made a video, had a lot of customers wanting more information.

Again, if you are taller or have longer arms, these will also bring the bars closer to you. These risers also have the OEM style locking pin in them, so how can you rotate them further back than the stock angle? Certainly a nice alternative to shorter reach bars.

You will find that in most cases from the factory the pin is in the middle of the bars. This will allow you to rotate the bars slightly. Same goes when you install the Risers.
