Default How do I pull fault codes on 2019 RT-L?

today I got caught in a down pour. I stopped the Spyder to put my helmet on. When I restarted it the check engine and the limp mode came on. Any ideas? Also how do I pull up my fault codes? It is a 2019 Can Am Spyder RTL with only 750 miles. thanks in advance for your help.

Hey ND. So, if you don't have your Owner's Manual yet, why don't you just go to this site and download an electronic copy. It's a pdf document. Your computer can read it.

In the upper left hand corner of that web page, just use the menus to select. Give it a few moments to download once you get to the last selection. Section to display codes is on page 32 of the manual.

Otherwise, if you have already figured out how to navigate that fancy display of yours on your own, it's in the Settings Menu of the right hand lateral display. That same menu that has the Clock, Bluetooth and the Display brightness., Just keep scrolling down and you'll get to the codes.

    These are all short presses.
Push the joystick straight in to get to the menu system.
Joystick down until you get to the settings menu. The Gear icon. Joystick right to choose it.
Joystick down until you get to fault code retrieval or something like that. Joystick right.
The active fault codes will be displayed.

Note only active codes will be displayed. If warning lights have gone out. The faults are no longer active.

While they might work on an F3, they don't work on an RT.
    There is no "joystick".
    There is no "gear icon".

Found a video on Lamonster's site that gave the procedure for an RT:
    https://www.lamonstergarage.com/rt-a...ode-retrieval/
HOLD the MODE and SET buttons, then press the turn signal button IN.
If there are active codes, they will be shown on the screen.
If there are no active codes, the screen will be white and blank.
Press the MODE button to resume normal operation.

Depends if you have the base model or the S or Ltd model. The base doesn't have the new dash. So the 2019 RT L should have the new dash and the joystick. If you don't then you don't have an S or LTD

Does your dash look like this? If so then you have a joystick. It's on the left handlebar.

Of course it does not work on a 2017 RT. It does not work on any 2017 or earlier, no matter the model. Starting in 2018 with the new display. The fault codes can be found in the menu.
