Bought a Rally in 2019. 7000 miles later and loving it. Personally, at this point in time with the model lineup Can-Am OnRoad has I would only consider buying a Ryker. None of the Spyder model are for me.

I have the 900 ACE. I love it! I was surprised that I like it so much. It's a definite change from 2 wheels. I miss leaning into turns. But I love the styling, I love the acceleration. I love not having to put my feet down when I stop! B-)

I am VERY happy with my choice!

I am riding mine 1,000 miles a month.
It is easy to swing a leg over and an enjoyable ride.
    What is your riding background?

I am not thrilled with high RPM cruising, but accepting more and more.

Fuel economy is not as good as a M/C.

Right now, there is nothing else that I prefer.

I purchased mine on 06/04/2020 and have put over 3,000 miles on it to date. Not so much as a hiccup. I ride mine every day, sometimes several times a day and love every mile.

I purchased this 2020 Ryker Rally Edition two weeks ago and honestly, you couldnt pry it from my cold dead hands. I haven't ridden the Harley or Kawasaki since bringing it home, and I thoroughly enjoy both bikes. As far as value, you get a lot of machine for the money.

Love mine! It's a blast! Simple, quick, easy to ride, very easy to like. I think that people who are disappointing in the Ryker are those who had unrealistic expectations for it. If you understand what it is and what it is designed to do, and not do. I don't see how you can go wrong.

I purchased mine because I had to. I would not be able to develop parts for it without one to work and experiment with. But the bonus is... I just love to ride it!

    Well stated.
I would not mind having an ambient temp display and the parking lock lever could use a detent in the unlocked position, but otherwise not much else to suggest to change.
I thought I would prefer a manual trans, but I am getting spoiled by the CVT.

That would be a perfect addition to the instrument cluster. Maybe Slingmods will come ot with something.....

Don't think the Ryker has an ambient sensor, just the pressure and temperature sensor 707000995 on the intake...where incoming air is hotter...so, for factory it would likely be more than modifying the display unit.

Have used Formotion analog mechanical temperature gauges for a couple bikes and a truck, but they peg in the sunlight.

If you buy one just expect to have to answer a lot of questions from curious onlookers when you stop.

we also changed from an RT to the Ryker 900 .. 13.000 miles - not really a problem - would not change back.. better handling - easier to ride - faster and better brakes in the mountains ..

Yep. Went through that in 08 and 09 with the decked out RS and GS. And in Alaska, they were very rare in those entry level years.

And believe it or not...with all our riding now in Arkansas, we have yet to see a Ryker on the road. I know SpyderPops and Lamont have them because I saw them at both places...but that is it so far.

Let me state for the record. I wish I'd never rode a Ryker. On June 21, 2020 I traded my work bike (Honda NC750x) on a Ryker Rally. The "problem" I'm having is I have a Yamaha Tracer GT collecting dust in my garage now. Have been out on the Tracer once since I got the Ryker and kept think I should have taken the Ryker. It's ruining my enjoyment of two wheels! All kidding aside the Ryker is a pure "hoot" to ride. I don't regret buying it one bit. Had ridden my buddy's Spyder RT a half dozen times and was not impressed with it at all. The Ryker is a whole different animal in my opinion.

Yup, sure enough..... I've been riding the living daylights out of this thing. I live in a very rural area, so it's easy for me to put a couple hundred miles just to go someplace and come back, not counting the miles once I get there. In fact I'm planning a 500 mile endurance ride in the next couple of day, just because......

My profile says I live in Spokane, WA but I actually live about 60 miles west of there in wheat country.....

I have had three different SPYDERs since 2008, kept trading up until the last a 2017 RTS. Traded that in for a 2020 Maverick 1000R Sport SXS last fall. Decided to try a 2020 Ryker 900 ACE and I love it. The Ryker seems to corner better for me, much flatter in the corners! Great acceleration, less effect from side winds as you have a lower center of gravity and less surface area to the wind. I added the passenger seat, and constructed top box behind the passenger seat. My wife says she feels less body roll in the corners, but feels a rougher ride than on the RTS. I would add a Hi/Lo to the CVT for lower engine rpm while cruising. Overall it is a very reliable machine, an excellent value for a moderate price!
