...should I take it to a dealer to have them do something to the bike? I didn't see a "at 600 miles" chart in the Maintenance Schedule. My tech guy at delivery wasn't very clear about what I do after 600 miles.

on your spyder purchase. The reason you didn't see anything in the maintenance chart is because there isn't anything required. The first check for 1330 engines is 3,000 miles. At least that is what it was for my '16 RTS. The next service after that is every at 9300 miles or every year. If I'm wrong, someone else will chime in. Dale
3,000 miles is correct for the 2019. The service check list is in the maintenance manual. If you change your own oil, there is nothing on the check list that you can't do your self. It is all just simple checking the whole thing over for correct light operation and pressures, etc.
I never let mine go to 9,300 miles between oil changes. It gets fresh oil and filter every 5,000 miles. Oil is cheap and new engines are expensive.
Get the BRP maintenance manual. All the maintenance schedules and most everything else you need to know are in there.
Right on above. First recommended oil change/filter service at 3000 miles. Subsequent services at 9,500 mile intervals or once a year, whichever occurs first.
I have no problem with those who change before the 9,500 interval. Oil changes will not hurt the machine...but they are still about $350 if you have someone do them for you.
Currently Owned: 2019 F3 Limited, 2020 F3 Limited: SOLD BOTH LIMITEDS in October of 2023.

+1 Ditto Amen
The Ryker recommended interval is 6,000. I expect it is more marketing than genuine interest in longevity.
Changed (1) engine oil, (2) trans fluid (replaced 5W40 with 75W140) and (3) final drive at about 1200.
Looking at engine oil and trans fluid, I am glad that I did not wait longer.
Trans magnetic drain plug had significant accumulation.
Probably will change (1) and (2) and end of summer, regardless of mileage.
Once again - thanks to you experienced riders for helping me out on my 2019 RTL SE6. I have done my own oil changes on my 2010 RT - often - rather than wait too long. I'm anxious to ride and get some miles on Pearl (wife's name for byke) or Stormtrooper (my name for byke). Thanks everyone.

your first change will have a lot of junk on the magnets, that's why some people will do the 600 mile oil change to get rid of that!! Cheap insurance in my book!!
