It's with a heavy heart that I have to put my Nomad up for sale. I no longer feel comfortable on 2 wheels so it has to go.
For those that don't know, 2014 was the last year of the Nomad . It also had a (1) year paint scheme (black/white/chrome is blacked out). My Nomad is in very good condition. The only flaws I've seen are a couple of touched up scratches on the tank and the usual boot marks on the right saddlebag lid.
The Nomad has LOW miles (8427) that may go slightly up as I'd like to ride around the block just to keep the fluids flowing. The oil was changed just before I bought it a few months ago and I've only put about 300 miles on her. She has BRAND NEW tires (Metzler Cruisetec up front and Dunlop American Eagle in the back). I'd be surprised if there are 100 miles on the tires. The bike is mostly stock other than the following: Airlite leather crash bar closeouts ($120), Chucksters larger lowers ($50), Grasshopper backrest (used-$50), mirror extenders ($20), (2) RAM mounts ($35) (the phone mount is on my Can Am) and driving lights (they were on the bike when I bought it--guessing about $250).
It HAS been Ivanized (ECU remapped) ($400 incl shipping) w/his latest flash in February, I think.
It also comes with a full cover.
This bike runs great and needs nothing. I'd love to keep it but as noted, I just don't feel comfortable on 2 wheels any longer.
KBB says it's worth $8250. I'd take $5500 just to get rid of it. I owe the bank so someone would need to be local (or trust me w/your check). I'd say it's well worth what I'm asking, especially w/$500 worth of new rubber, the Ivanization and the other misc stuff.
It's located in North Wilkesboro, NC and is available for viewing any Saturday (all day) or Sunday afternoon. I'm also available most weekday evenings after 8pm. My insurance only covers me so if you want to take it for a test ride, put the cash in my hand. I'd be happy to ride it down the block and back so you can see that it runs well.
This is my 2nd Nomad. The 1st was an '07 1600. This is MUCH nicer. More powerful motor, belt drive, electronic cruise control, smoother ride. Not sure why someone hasn't bought it already.

I had an 06? Nomad. That one was 1500 cc. I liked it a lot but had to have the 2000 cc Vulcan so it got traded off. The Nomad's were considered very good bikes. My bad, should have kept the Nomad.

2006-2008 were the 1600s. 1999-2005 were the 1500s. (Could be the 1600s started in 2005 but I think it was '06.) The ONLY bad year was '99 since they had the POGs. Everything after that has a SOG so it was good. Other than the '99s, Kawasaki just didn't make a bad Nomad. I can understand the thunderous torque of the V2k, though.

Thanks for the update. Some things begin to blur a little after 15 years or so.

Sorry, guys. I thought I closed this thread as sold. It's long gone. It sold about a week after the dealer got it. They washed it, put it out on the sales floor and like the next guy that wallked in bought it......for $3k more than I traded it off for. I guess location matters.
