I traded my 2013 RT for a 2020 Ryker 900 Ace! Just got the parking brake lock installed this morning. Now, I am waiting on my Madstad windshield to arrive and I'll be almost set to go. My break-in is almost done!Ryker.jpg

These things are so much fun. I take my Ryker out on rides around town a couple of time a day, just for the fun of riding. Being a foot loose, fancy free, retired 67 year old, I can get away with that.....
I think people in my town must think I invented a clone machine, cause every time they turn around, here I come, zipping along on my Ryker, big smile on my face. Now you'll have to excuse me, I feel the need for a ride coming on.

Its the parking brake that will be locked not the transmission.
Nope, transmission on Ryker.

Yes, same as putting an automotive automatic transmission in park.
Disconnect the drive shaft and it can be rolled.
Rykers minimized weight and price, so there is no parking brake.
The lever (left side) connects to trans by cable to right side of trans.
If parked on a steep hill, pressure may need to be removed from parking pawl to disengage.
That can be done by feet, if not too steep or using light throttle in the opposite direction of the downgrade.

Yes, that retirement thing is working well for us also. Have not worked since April of 2019, we moved out of state in May 2019 and never looked back. Now, since living in God's country, we ride mostly every day. No winter layup here, I rode on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's just because I could. If I remember, it was 40's or 50's.
