Default Cluster bracket and windshield — Warning

Not sure if anyone has had this problem already. I have the F4 customs windshield. Noticed the cluster was tilting due to the weight of the windshield, had to re-tighten the cluster bracket bolt a few times, but recently I hit a pretty bad pothole jerking the steering and the cluster went very loose. Turns out the cluster bracket is cracked.

I think the F4 windshield is just too heavy for the mounting point. The whole thing is just held on by a single bolt, obviously not meant for this big windshield. I really liked the windshield but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone at this point.

Lol, in fact the wind pressure at speed is what kept it straight for my return home otherwise I had to hold it up with one hand for fear of loosing it all.

Def weight and the fact that it’s held up by a single bolt at the pivot point. The good news is a new cluster bracket is surprisingly cheap at $25 Canadian. I’m gonna figure out a way to reinforce it though.

We have had no issue with this to date from the many Ryker windshields that we have in the market. However we will do some additional testing right away just to verify. we also are reaching out to the folks that have purchased our windshield for the Ryker just to verify that they have not had any issue. We will report our findings

Good morning all. I have an f4 customs windshield on my 2019 Ryker and have had no issues, whatsoever. In fact, I have the very first windshield made for the Ryker and have logged over 8,000 miles, hitting my share of potholes, with no problems. I would say that the bracket had the issues, not the windshield. I run 70 mph, quite often and have no complaints.

I have the 16" F4 windshield on my 2019 Ryker. I have had no issues and the bike has been in excess of 100 MPH. After reading this post I inspected my bracket and found nothing wrong. The bike came with the Can Am windshield originally and to say it was worthless in my opinion
is an understatement. The F4 and BajaRon's swaybar make the bike a great ride. The bracket appears to be a pot metal casting and not very substantial. I wonder if this is similar to the problem the RT had with the windshield height adjustment arm.
