    Default The Scoot Coupe

Thought I would pass this along. Looks like it only has a small trunk.

I don't see myself driving it but Piaggio did beat the Elio to market.

At 49cc we can be sure it will move forward with two people as long as you're headed downhill!

There is a 150cc version that claims 55 mph most of the "scooter" speedometers read optimistic so I would say the claimed 30 mph for the 49cc version would actually be 20-25 mph and the 150cc would go about 40 mph at its top speed. the smaller one would not go fast enough to get out of its own way.

You would really be limited on the roads you could use for fear of being run over.Wylie run over.jpeg

You frequently see people driving/riding these things at Red Rock Canyon here in Las Vegas. Since they are always in a group, I assume somebody is renting them or putting together tours. They look like fun in the Canyon but the speed limit is so low there that the power is irrelevant. Dunno how they get to the Canyon in the first place since they are not rented there and I never see a truck that might have been used to bring them there. That implies they came there on city streets. Those things are so low and so slow that using them on city streets would be truly scary.

I have seen those on San Juan Island in Washington for a number of years. They are rentals used by tourist to sightsee and explore the island. Perfect vehicle for that market..... Jim
