Default Securing electrical connections after hand hold removal

I’m installing BRP armrests on my F3L and have to remove my hand holds which are heated. Under the pass seat is a factory electrical plug which I have to unplug. What is recommended I should do with the plug end that remains with the bike? Is it correct to assume I can purchase an end cap for this plug to keep water out? If so, is this something I can purchase at NAPA or other auto parts store? I suppose I could just wrap it with electrical tape but would like to do what is best.

You can try to find a cover or just seal it with electrical tape. I'm sure others will have more ideas, but electrical tape has worked for me for years.

Treat it with dielectric grease and tape it up.

Thanks for the comments. I went ahead and went the tape route. The reason I ask this question was because when connecting my GPS to the bikes electrical system I think BRP had a “dummy” male connector plugged into the female electrical plug. I figured this was common practice and the “dummy” plugs could be easily found which I’m not sure this is the case.

    Thanks again
