Exhaust - can I keep the OEM Muffler with a Cat delete pipe?
I have a question about the cat delete pipe. Can I keep the OEM muffler with this pipe or do I have to change the muffler as well?

You sure can!! Some even argue that it sounds and works 'best' this way!

.... If you add the " Baffle " it will change a bit .... on 1330 RT I tried it with and without ..... I decided to keep the Baffle ..... IMHO the CAT delete will effect the weight and sound .... not performance .... Mike

Agree with Peter. Sounds magic with cat delete and stock muffler. Had Jases ECU upgrade as well.
Tip: get the cat delete pipe ceramic coated inside and outside, reduces heat by a long way.

Is there any where you can still find a cat delete for a 998?

Options from RLS for a 2013 rt-s sm5....
Exhaust @$325....cat bypass @425...
Any experienced opinions on the best option?

Tatonka, did you make a change? I'm looking into doing the same cat delete with RLS pipe. if so, how did it go and do you like it?

Yes, did the cat delete and installed a triple slip on exhaust made for the 998 by www.spyder1attude.com
Much lighter and louder
