2018 RT LIMITED SE6 Reverse won't select - any ideas?
My RT has on 10,500 miles and wouldn’t shift into reverse intermittently and now has become become a persistent problems. Al other SE operations function properly.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
JRD

There have been reports of some Left Handgrip Module failures that start out with selector issues like that on some Spyders of around your Spyder's vintage, fixed only by replacing the entire Handgrip/module.... so it might pay to do a bit of a search for the threads on them to see how they went about identifying & fixing that particular problem.
Only other thing I can dredge up atm is maybe a bent/displaced Reverse Selector bracket/mechanism under the Spyder... but is that applicable to the RT's or only on the F3's??
Good Luck, hope you get it sorted soon!

Call your dealers service department and explain your problem. Mention to them there may be a TSB for this issue. They likely need to look it up. Give them a chance to do their homework and call you back.
I just went through this on my 2018 F3L in May. Once my dealer found the TSB. He called me back. Said the part was ordered and he would call me when it came in. Couple days later the part came in. Takes about 1 1/2 hrs to change out.

Yes as stated above it is probably the left hand control module, my 2018 F3 Limited has already had two left hand control modules put on it and one right hand control module put on! I tried to encourage BPR to change suppliers for these modules, but no one up there seems to be listening! When you have a supplier who is sending you faulty modules, you get another company to make them for you! I am on my third Spyder, and it will probably be my last one, because of the poor responses from BPR and the poor dealer service we have in the United States! We can all throw off on Harley's, but they have service and parts when you need them!
