Unfortunately, once again Shawn makes a great video and then mentions details he knows nothing about.

Every batch of sprockets made has a distinct date code for tracking purposes. It DOES NOT indicate a change in design. It can be used to track a batch of incorrectly made units but that does not apply here. A change in design of a part in the BRP parts catalog requires a new part number, there is no part number revision tracking. The current part number for the 2020 bikes is exactly the same as factory installed on 2015 units. Unchanged. There is no updated sprocket part number. So don't run out and try to buy something that will not help.
