Default What is wheel alignment and why do you need it

HI EVERYONE !!!! HAPPY FATHERS DAY
Having been in the automotive business since 1967, I have aligned more cars
and trucks than I could ever remember along with other vehicles as well.
I have seen here folks asking " Do I need a wheel alignment " but don't know just
what that is or how to go about it. All of our Spyders have adjustable Tow adjustments
and that is just about it, however your cars and trucks are much different.
I ran across this in one of my tech emails and thought I would pass it along.
I hope you learn and enjoy this and can pass it to you friends
    Ride Safe everyone

A fantastic set of video clips! That young man does a great job explaining some very misunderstood aspects of "wheel alignment". I just corrected the "toe" on my 2014 RTL. It was not an easy job; but I changed it from 1/8" of toe-out to 1/8" of toe-in; and the unsteady, slight wandering feeling was eliminated and the trike "tracks" much better, and stays in a straight line now. It was quite difficult to get to the lock nuts on the inside tie-rod connections! The whole job took me about 3.5 hours of crawling under and out from the jacked up front end. Well worth the time in the end. I also left the plastic pans off underneath to make other maintenance chores easier.
