So recently my machine's performance got reduced almost by the half I shall say..
whenever I twist the throttle, the RPM goes up but the bike goes nowhere :/
I'm also having a problem shifting between gears up or down.
Generally the 1st and the 2nd gears are fine (with a little downgrade)
I can barely do 70 MPH when on the 3rd. However, shifting up to the 4th and the 5th makes no difference anymore...
So I can only top somewhere around 70 MPH with a very high RPM
My mechanic believes that it must be the clutch. He asked me to get a new clutch kit (metal plates, friction plates, and springs)
Do you guys agree with that?
I looked up everywhere online for a clutch kit that would fit but couldn't find any at all. Please help!
But I don't think you can get a 'Clutch Kit' as such any more (if you could ever?!) You might hafta get the each of the necessary parts individually - in the right qty of course!
Ps: just another 'thorty'.... are you sure that you have the correct weight motorcycle oil in there?? Something siutable for a 'wet-clutch' & motorcycle gearbox that shares its oil with the engine? Getting the level correct is very important too, if you get low on oil, that'll cause clutch & gear selection issues, so you need to make sure you are using the correct oil-checking method AND getting the level right - while running low isn't great, over-filling by anything more than 'just a touch' is really NOT GOOD!!

Yes there is a clutch kit available. A little pricey. Surprised you are not getting a speed mismatch fault. But your symtoms do point to a clutch failure. Even with the 2013s having the upgraded, longer life clutch plates. Usual cause of clutch failure is if an automotive type oil was used. Or was run at too low an rpm, with too high a load in 4 or 5 gear. Overheating it.
