Maneuvering into tight spots for storage, or in/on a trailer

So, I've seen posts here on the site, as well as on other Spyder pages regarding getting the Spyder into tight spots, or moving in/on a trailer, etc...I load our Spyders on our 7x14 trailer once in a while and I've always used the suspension as a "bounce" method to move the back wheel over. Well, last weekend I strained my back doing that so I found this gizmo on Amazon. I got it today and was pleasantly surprised. I assembled it in 10 minutes and tried it out. IT works GREAT. It's low profile and very easy to use. I tried it out in the garage just to be sure..I was a little leary of it not fitting under the side storage compartment. It fits fine. If you need to move the rear tire over into a pesky spot, or just need to angle your bike in/on a trailer like I do, check it out. I just bought one for now.

Harbor Freight sells same thing for a lot less..also used snowmobile casters ..work great

Yeah, I've used the snowmobile dollies too, but they don't work real well on the trailer when those tiny wheels hit the gap between the deck boards. This one has nice big wheels on it. I hear ya though....

BUUUT, if you've got an SE, or maybe an SM that just might be in gear, don't ever run the engine while that shovel's under there..... cos if you accidentally happen to grab a little throttle (or a lottle throttle... ) the result's probably not gonna be pretty! .

Wellllll, let's just say that an 'accidental handful of throttle' instantly converts that shovel into a 'high velocity shovel'!!

And those bloody 'high velocity shovel' thingies will go a helluva loooong way..... unless something gets in their way!! In which case, the resulting mess is really not a pretty sight!! .

The (shovel sized) hole in the garden shed wall 20 metres away didn't look too good at all; nor did the shattered work bench inside & the garden tools scattered all over to buggry & beyond, but they were all eventually recovered & the shed/bench/tool rack (sorta) repaired . And while the shovel did take a bit of a beating, it still works well!

And these days, if there's a shovel anywhere near, I shut down the Spyder engine!

Well, there coulda been some of that but there was definitely a lotta & & & maybe even some ...... and then the Child Bride came out & saw what all the noise was about, did her thing & a just a bit of and I got on with sorting the mess....

Let me tell you, there's nothing to be gained from crying over 'high veloity shovels' that only hit some thing & not some one, that just cuts into your time!
