Yeah .. All vendors required to wear PPE, no open plaza alcohol. I look for attendance and vendors to plummet. Money won out on a 8-1 vote.

Part of the problem is they figured lots of people would come even without there being an official rally. I think I'll stay away this year.

I usually avoid crowds. Have been through Sturgis during the rally. Not a fun experience for me. Add the Covid scare, and I am NOT going.

The best time to go is BEFORE the massive crowds get there.

I don't like crowds either, but sometimes, I like to sit down on Main Street with a drink in my hand and people watch. I see some pretty odd characters out there.

Plus, riding around that area is pretty spectacular. Needles Highway, Spearfish Canyon....it's pretty awesome.

I have missed 4 Sturgis in the last 44 years and had planned to attend this year. I have changed my mine. I am 82 year old and with this coronavirus I figured I better stay home.

That's probably true. But even Idaho with it's far right conservative approach to life has canceled two major fairs scheduled for August. They will do the 4H and FFA parts of them though so the kids can sell their livestock.

And on the other hand, Bikes, Blues and BBQ in Fayetville, AR, supposedly the 4th or 5th largest rally in the country and the largest charity rally has been cancelled for this year. They announced it on the Facebook page, but as yet they haven't updated the website. https://www.facebook.com/bikesbluesbbq/

I miss posted,it is actually the lateral maleolas right where the fibula joins the tibia. I think those are the right terms.

    Ok, now it makes sense.

Hopefully, it is just the fibula, which is the skinnier bone located on the outside of the leg. They can usually cast it and let it heal on its own. However, if the break is bad enough, I have assisted orthopedic surgeons in the Operating Room by reducing the fracture using plates and screws.

If you broke BOTH the tibia and fibula, they'll most fix it using plates and screws, and the recovery time is FAR longer.

    Good luck !!

Hope you heal fast and feel better !!

I broke my leg right above my ankle in 1970 in a motorcycle accident, drunk hit me at a light and pushed me out into the intersection. A kid going with his light hit me from the right side. Bent the frame with my leg. Surgeon said this is gonna cause you trouble when you get old, boy what an understatement that was. Because I had just eaten a pizza washed down with a beer emergency room doc said too bad, we can't put you out. They set my leg with 2 big interns holding me down. When I came to they were just finishing up with the cast.
