Short reach HB 2020 rt limited
Can anyone tell me, when replacing handle bars to short r
Reach hb, do you have to replace the wiring harness to reach the new position?
Thank you in advance

I think you have to release some tie-wraps, but there is adequate wiring. I wound up putting on the Heli-Bars, and there is plenty of wire for them.
If it ain't broke, don't break it.

I posted a thread about installing rox risers on my 2020 RTL with a picture showing the zip tie that must be cut. Basically remove the right speaker grill and find the wiring harness where it comes up in front of the steering column. Kind of a pita to get to but I was able to get a diagonal cutting pliers on it and snip it.

OK thank you for the heads up

I put on Rox risers and an F3 handlebar clamp, which eliminates the need to snip or cut anything. Original wire harness is more than adequate, nothing else needed.

The short reach bars may be a little too close for you on the RT. I put a pair of stock F3 bars on mine and they might still be a little close. What I need is a set of long reach bars.

If the stock bars were too far then the long reach bars will be even farther.

The stock bars from the F3 (on the RT) may be too close. The long reach bars are farther away from you, no? At least that's the way I understand how BRP labels them and you can't tell from the diagram in their catalog.

Look at the Helibars. I installed them on my 2020Rt and love them! They are easy to install. The wiring harness will reach if remove a wire guide and some tie wraps.

You may be right, I can’t say that I have ever seen a set of long reach bars.
