Ryker 600 fault code P0301
Hello everyone,
I am a proud owner of a new Ryker 600 in Norway.
From the day 1 it started with a sound "byp" and engine light came on. It happened after a harder acceleration, was hot weather outside that day. Light went off after 5 min.
After that it was happening like 1 or 2 times a day, always under acceleration and i could read engine fault code P0301 under the settings menu. However, engine runs like normal, no power loss and no "limp mode" and engine light turns off by itself after some time.
I called to the dealer, waiting for an answer.. Dealer is pretty far away, so I hope it could be an easy fix..
Maybe some of you had a similiar issue like i have?

I think that is cylinder 1 misfire.
If that is correct, remove the glove box (8 pushpins), check the front coil connection.
If it is OK, remove coil, check spark plug

After thought:
The coil connector may be secure, but internal pin or socket not seated in connector cavity.

Update on my bike:
Ryker 600 std almost 2 weeks at the dealership.
They have changed spark plugs and coils, still P0301 coming out.
BRP think's it's because of the vibration from the engine. Next they are going to do is to check and maybe change the belt in CVT gearbox.
Look's like some of 600 have this problem from the factory, but no official recall.

Misfires are determined by crank position sensor (CKP) output to ECM/ECU.
You may want to suggest to the dealer to change the CKP.
According to the US 2019 operator's manual, these components are covered under warranty:
Ignition Components and Sensors
Engine Control Module (ECM)
Engine Wiring Harness
Ignition Coils
Spark Plugs (covered only up to the first maintenance replacement)
Noise Sensor (Knock Sensor)
Camshaft Position Sensor
Crankshaft Position Sensor
Temperature Sensor (Coolant)
Pressure and Temperature Sensor
Oxygen Sensor

Waiting for a replacement of a variator (CVT), looks like faulty variator making issues with misfire. Had my Ryker 3 days, now it is almost 4 weeks that my ryker is under repair..

Thanks for the updates.
On the bright side, they gave you a loaner vehicle to use while they fix yours.

Thank You Markubis.
The end of story:
Today we have registered loaner as my own ryker and all the accesories is moved from my old ryker to the loaner *new mine*. The old one is still in repairs and the dealer is the new owner now

If there's no problem with the bike the dealer gave you, just tell them to keep your old bike and call it even....
