Default Hit a concrete chunk at 75mph, break rim

Last night on I-85 in VA, hit a chunk of concrete at 75mph. Broke rim, I think it’s the only damage, well, except the mirror covers popped off. I found the covers this morning.Spyder rim broken.jpg

I crawled around under the bike, the only other damage is the broken rim cut the 3 wires to turn signal / running light. I will splice that back together. And, I'll go in for any fault codes & an alignment. I'll have the mirror covers painted.

IMHO if you broke the RIM - the likely hood of other damage is HIGH ..... good luck ..... Mike

Wow, glad you’re okay. I read about another owner having a similar experience just a few weeks ago.

Another testament to the safety offered by the Y factor! Don't even want to think what would have happened on a two wheeler.

Your insurance should cover the damage. Lucky you weren't on two wheels.
