Brake noise question..

My girlfriend bought a 19 RT Limited new a couple of weeks ago. Has about 1000 miles on it now. She heard it first but I can hear it now. At low speed I can hear the brake rotors screeching. I told her it would likely go away that it was still new and with a little wear it most likely will fix itself. Am I right are do I need to pay a little more attention?

I am having the same issue breaks squeaking, noticed it this past weekend. I have a 2019 F3 base model. I have 1400 miles on my bike. My friends told me it is probably break dust and suggested to try to blowing it out with an air hose. I have not had a chance to do that yet.

You might try 'Bedding In' your pads. This may take care of the problem. And, it won't hurt if this is not the cause.

I did everything to stop the squeak on my 19.
Cleaning, filing lead edge of pads, blah, blah.
Fixed with replacing pads and applying VersaChem to pad backs, and pressure tang that holds pads in place.
A pad swap is easy and cheap, the calipers don't even come off. Various models of BMW and Ducati use the same pads.

My new 2020 is squeaking pretty badly, but it's just kind of the nature of the beast with OEM pads. I don't like it, but I'm not concerned and my 2014 when new did the same thing. And, IIRC, my 2008 was also noisy too.

My truck, a 2016 Nissan Frontier, makes a trip to our ranch in Arizona about once a month.
212 miles of highway, then 8 miles of rocky unmaintained road/Jeep trail.
It seems that dust causes brake noise, close to the sound of metal on metal.
It diminishes after some highway miles.
When the seasonal creek crossing is deep, 18+ inches, they become absolutely quiet (and 4WD shifts quicker)

Good suggestion from Carbonation, but it may only be brake dust.
