Proven for over 20,000 mogul smashing snowmobile miles at speed, and one rollover (a stunt gone awry LOL) and now 4,000 miles on a Spyder. Ram universal phone mount, it just works and with the jointed knuckle you pick the angles that work for you.

Yes! - the RAM Quick Grip is adjustable and holds very securely on all 4 sides. Comes in 2 sizes. I have the smaller one for my Galaxy 7 with a Body Glove case. I can still go a bit bigger before going for the larger size.

Lamonster Garage has both and RAM mounts, balls and arms here: http://www.lamonstergarage.com/ram/?...eatured&page=2

I see that Ram Mounts have multiple options to secure the base. You can use one of the four handlebar/steering post bolts, the backside of the clutch-side instrument panel controls, or mount directly to the handlebar with the U-bolt options. Who has these, and what are your impressions?

I like tackform I have an oversize phone with Otterbox and it fits great. I went with the tackform that mounts on the handle bar versus bolting it to the center.

I have decided to give the RAM quick grip a try. Thanks for all the comments and advice. Ordered it with the short arm for now. I like the RAM options to add different size arms and accessories. I will provide feedback after installation and trials. Thanks again.

My cel now rides either in my shirt pocket, or in the Spyders trunk. I did have a RAM ball mounted to the center screw of my tri-axis handlebars. My phone was attached with the short arm which attached to an X-grip. Road vibration snapped the ball mount attaching screw and I grabbed the phone as it was sliding off or my Spyder. I no longer trust the RAM mounts, and before you ask, yes, it was an actual RAM and not a knock-off.

Having ridden 2 wheels for many years and switched to a spyder you might want to rethink where your phone is in the event of an unplaned get off?? Dont ask how i know!

I agree, I have had Ram, TechMount and Tackform. The Tackform is the best one of the three that I have used.

Two of the places I get RAM mounts are these: https://www.rammount.com/ > The RAM Mounts store. A vast array of products to mount just about anything. <
https://mounts.factoryoutletstore.com/ > And aftermarket store with almost the entire RAM catalog <
    https://www.gpscity.com/ram-mount > over 4000 RAM items <
Also on eBay, Amazon, sporting goods/ooutdoor gear stores and motorcycle shops.

For about the last 20 years or so every bike and trike we owned have had at least 2 RAM mounts on them. I've had plastic mounting disks for the suction cup mount in the trucks and the cars (I lived in Minnesota, where they do not allow stuff on the windshield.) RAM's custom service if fantastic, also. I had some RAM balls on my old Harley, and after many years the rubber ball on the handlebar mount hardened from age and being out in the sun and the elements. I called the company, they had me go to their warranty and returns section of their website and send in pictures of the part. They sent 3 brand new mounts to replace the hardened ones, the only real problem was that they were old. Never had any RAM product fail, the ones I replaced could still be used, but with the hardening of the rubber it takes excessive force to keep the mount in place.

My phone rides in the trunk and I use the phone app on the Zumo 590. I prefer no extra stuff on the handlebars.
