    Default Super Visor

I have been riding for over 50 years. I would not ride without a Super Visor on my helmet.
I have no connection with this company.

I told a former boss that I was tired of having a Super Visor riding my *** all the time. He told me if I continued w/that attitude I would have no connection with that company.

Since I seldom ride with my faceshield down i just put a two inch wide band of black tape across the bottom and use that as a visor.

I place a strip of black electrical tape across the top of the drop down visor. Works great and the price is right! If I want the shade of the drop down visor, but a greater view, I raise it a wee bit until the tape is above my field of view.

That is exactly what I do. Two strips of electrical tape nicely trimmed. It looks like it belongs and is very effective..... Jim

Have done the tape trick for years with both full face and modular helmets. But the air scoop that redirects more air to the helmet vents is good, Right Pete???

Had one of these on 2 former helmets. They work well on helmets on which they fit, unfortunately they don't work with our present lids, I've gone with the black tape strip. I got mine from Aerostich Rider Warehouse - they are apparently not in stock now, but there are still a lot of reviews and use tips. https://www.aerostich.com/supervisor.html

Bought a visor today. It attaches to the shield and works with modulars.
I have used tape and am not satisfied with the tape results.
The air flow of this visor sounds like plus to me.

It mounts to the face shield. I have had mine on a HJC IS Max modular. Before gluing in place, tape it on and ride toward a setting sun. Adjust as needed as the sun gets lower.
When satisfied, glue it in place. I had to use the provided clips for my HJC IS Max. I have used a product called Shoe Goo as the adhesive and it worked well.

My new Super Visor got a real, straight into the rising sun, test this morning.
    It worked great.

One more comment and then I will let it rest. Putting black tape on your face shield is not anything like using a Super Visor. I've done that too. It is not even close. When you put tape on your face shield the sun is still shining and glaring on your shield. A Super visor puts your face shield in the shade. The next time that you are riding into a low sun, put your hand up so that you shade your face shield. You will see the difference. Be safe. Have fun. 12tree

A visor might be just the trick for that last 40 minutes before sunset. For me though, in bright sunlight, nothing beats a tinted and mirrored face shield. Out here in the arid plains - it's a necessity.

Riding with a visor is a must for me. We have helmets (Nolan and Bell) with the inside drop down sunshades, but they don't quite cut it for us.

The latest Nolans have an adjustable visor that drops down a little more than the Bell which is permanantly affixed.

I do like the one you posted about...but so far, am happy with what we currently have.

    My little two cents:

    electrical tape
I tried that, looked perfect, but it “shrinked” and pulled off on sides. After that it looked really bad.

    modular helmets
We had the Visor on our old modular helmets, got Shoei Neotec 2 two years ago and new Visor’s again, can’t ride without them once we got used to them, especially in the Spring and Fall.

The Visor attaches to the shields, not the helmets.
