One very important piece of info, right on the sticker. Buy American.

These are 2 examples of US made products. I suspect foreign products may have some supply chain problems in the near future.

I have really come to like Deka batteries. They seem to stand up to vibration and heat better than other brands I've used.

MR BLUEKNIGHT911,
On the DEKA battery I purchased, it listed a smaller number than the Yuasa of similar construction. But the battery guy showed me something. He load tested both the Deka and Yausa and the Deka actually had more reserve capacity. I found that amazing considering the posted numbers. The rash of premature failures on the Yuasa batteries drove me to switch.
As a side note, never buy your battery through the dealer. It reduces the warranty to 6 months. Yes, it's in the warranty paperwork.

The last thing you want to do is go cheap on a battery for your Spyder. Buy a name brand battery like Yuasa. I have had very good service from Duracell bought at Batteries Plus.

Thanks everyone. Will probably go with Yuasa and no scorpion for me.

I agree. even though I have read of a few premature failures, the Yuasa will fit without modifying the OEM hold down clamp. Buy it from a battery mart or somewhere other than a dealer though, my OEM battery wasn't warrantied by BRP because it was 10 months old. My Deka has a 1 year warranty.

I have one in my other bike. Going on year 2. Will see how long it lasts. That's all I can say about the "Scorpion" at this time.
