    Default Idle rpm's

    Can someone tell me what the 2009 GS 990 SM5 should idle at ? Thanks
    Oh .... and i had it out for the last couple of day ... for the first time . I will have to say , it was rhe most fun i had .. with my close on in a long time . It was a blast

    1300 - 1400 rpm.

    As above, idle is around 1,400. Peak torque is at 5,000. You should cruise between 5,000 and 6,000.

    Thanks guys , and thats what it is. I just thought it may have been a little hight .
    It's bad to drive ... it's like driving a sports car . You just want to drive fast . It handles like nothing like i ever drove before . I drove it last night for the first time and that was planded . I need to ajust the headlights for sure . Think i might upgrade the bulbs .

    One of the features of the 990/998 rotax is that it likes high revs. Keep it in that magic spot of 5500 or so and you are always ready to get up and go.
