Default Has the 2020's FM Reception improved?

I haven't seen a post yet from new2020 owners and I am curious if the new bikes FM reception has improved over my 18?

Can't say for the 18, but the FM reception on my 2020 is better than on my 2015 RTL.

Radio reception was good on the RT’s on our Demo Tour and the volume can be raised high enough to hear st highway speeds.

My 20 RTL picks up Kansas City stations until I'm around 60 out of the city. Don't know what the range was on the 18.

Honestly I am really disappointed with the whole electronics and display system on the 2020 RT.

    Issues I have so far:
Terrible FM reception. How do you screw up radio???
BRP connect is buggy and locks up
No red line shown on the tac, the "analog gauges" do not have increments (MPH or RPM)
FOBO 2 TPMS software does not work with BRP connect
My Garmin GPS sound output is no longer connected to the speakers on the Spyder (BT only). The GPS sound output was hard wired to the 2010 RT. Great when you are wearing a 1/2 helmet on hot summer days.
BRP connect takes over your phone and you cannot use it for other things while connected.
Connecting to the Spyder, BT only, no BRP connect - you can listen to music and skip songs. You cannot select playlists, albums, artists, songs, etc. You are stuck with the playlist you started with until you stop the bike and manually change it
The built in GPS or Genius Maps are barely adequate for turn by turn instructions. Useless if you need to make a change or see the map while driving.
USB installed in the glovebox is dedicated to BRP connect, which locks you phone while connected. I had to run a separate wire to power another USB port mounted on my handlebars.

Reception on the 2020 is light years ahead of my 16 F3L. And on par with my 14 RTS, which was good. As far as my phone goes. I link the helmets (SENA) together before starting the bike. Then the SENA links to my phone. Phone works as it should. I can answer and talk, listen to Sirius, or Android Auto for directions. If I start the bike first, forget about the phone. Tom

From what I've read about car connectivity systems that is the norm. It's to keep the driver from being distracted by fiddling with his phone. Available phone functions are set in the connectivity software. BRP Connect is a version of Bosch's mySpin vehicle connectivity system.

Went for short first season ride yesterday and was reminded of how really poor the radio functions.Clean off threadlocker, longer antennae all for minimum gain.I also use my phone for music but when on short or local rides prefer to just leave radio on.Don't mind hearing local news, weather or adds.Closest dealer has 2020's in stock but no RT's set up yet due to corona caused employee shortage.Gonna get over there when they do!

My '18 FM reception is great. Went all the way from Stockton to Lancaster and found new channels easy and loud enough. This was when the BRP Connect was still really quirky and glitchy.
