    Default break into trunk

My trunk lock is so stuck that if I turn the key any harder it will break.
Anyone know how to break into the trunk?

Try having someone push down on the trunk while you turn the key. Had this happen to mine when I crammed it too full.

Also, when you get it open, lubricate the latch plates and post slightly. This is generally the main cause of the problem, and a tightly adjusted latch post to make the trunk pop better, or a too full trunk, makes things worse. If you haven't installed a trunk popper spring, do so. It will make your life easier by far.

+1 Once you get the trunk open, if you have to adjust the latching pin, remove the trim cover over the coolant tank and fuse box. That will allow you to see the pin fitting into the latch to get the adjustment just right and it will allow you to operate the latch by hand while making the adjustment.

I had the trunk popper. The nuts must of come lose therefore it would not allow for the latch to spring free. I tired to gain access through the side oil panel like suggested, but my hands were to big. Since it is in my garage I jacked up the right side (oil side) so I could see more. Tried the key one last time...boom open right up no problem ! The pressure was probably taken off.
So carry a jack wherever you go to gain access.

I would but it would probably tear a hole in the seat with it in my back pocket.

I finally got into where the cable was and disconnected it from the zip ties of other wires. Makes it easier if this happens again to give it a pull.
