I'm glad that this fix is in the works, but I don't see anything that says DO NOT RIDE.
I'm just wondering, all these people that BRP sent off on these PR campaign Road Trips.
How did they manage to put all the miles on their 2020 Spyders safely ?
If it ain't broke, don't break it.

The notice does indeed contain a 'Do not sell' order and a mandatory notification of each customer of sold units by the dealer.
In layman's terms, it says do not sell them as they are not safe. Tell your customers they are not safe but its up to each customer to get in for the recall.
The Do Not Sell order is what is considered notification of a defect serious enough to require the bikes off the road. If the demos were not shut down for COVID, they would be until the recall was done on the affected units. This is the same category of recall notification that was sent for the 2013RTs that were burning to the ground.
Ok, so I had 2 of my friends take delivery this past Saturday. Do you think the recall was taken care of, or will they need to take it in for the recall. I am only asking because our 2 local dealers are not the best at staying on top of things.

You would need to check the vin number and build date. If they are included then no, they have not been repaired as the kits have not been sent yet. They may not be affected units.
Interesting read through the ancillary documents. TL;DR: It covers about 1400 bikes manufactured between September 2019 and February 2020. The defective part may have "shrinking cavities" and was manufactured by a company in Vietnam. BRP found it when 4 of the support brackets broke on the factory floor. No reports from the field.

No mystery. It's called outsourcing to the lowest bidder and lack of quality control at the vendor. Dealt with it for 20 years. Parts kept getting worse and management kept lowering the standards that were supposed to be met. Had enough and retired.
Mine was built on 03/18/2020 and looking under my Spyder I don't see anything like that.
2020 Chalk, RT Limited, Dark and matching RT622 trailer and BRP hitch. BRP Drivers Backrest, Auxiliary Light, Garmin Zumo XT, GPS Support, RT Rear Panel and Travel Cover. You have to jack it up & get underneath, it is on the inside up & in right side of the converter the recall pictures make you think the pictures are from the right side of the bike (at least I did) but they are from the left with the converter removed.
I brought mine up to the dealer yesterday, finally done.

My dealer ordered it and it came in a week later. They told me it would take an hour to install. I had metal valve stems installed for the Fobo TPMS, so I left the bike over night.

Mine is at the dealer. Dropped it off yesterday. Tom
Baloo is my name. Spyders are my game. Well, it's a doo-bah-dee-doo, yes, it's a doo-bah-dee-doo, I mean a doo-bee, doo-bee, doo-bee, doo-bee, doo-bee-dee-doo. And, well, now. Ha ha! What have we here?
My dealer in Eustis FL taking care of my problem Thursday, 4/16, plus install my short reach bars, those folks are so easy to work with, hard to believe. I've experienced a lot of dealers in my time.
My dealer ordered the parts last week, dropped off the Spyder last night, and I picked up the Spyder early afternoon. Still waiting for all the parts to come in for the misaligned panel bulletin, and it should be in near the end of April.
Maybe BRP was right in patching this problem and getting the machine to the dealers. Holy Christmas, what if impatient customers had to wait until early May for the 2020? I have one with the misaligned panel and it doesn't trouble me one bit.
I waited until April 30 for my brand new 2014 1330. That was a very long wait for me. I put in the order in November of 2013. They ordered the wrong color, and then had to find one from another dealer. I even got BRP Care involved in that one. Almost made me say good bye to Spyders. But....I didn't.
Currently Owned: 2019 F3 Limited, 2020 F3 Limited: SOLD BOTH LIMITEDS in October of 2023.
I just had my brake recall completed by Arctic Adventures in Rosendale NY.
Holy Cow. I think they fixed it in about 30 minutes.
I have to wait longer for a pizza delivery.
If it ain't broke, don't break it.
