2020 RT Safety Recall. Not everyone is affected.
https://can-am.brp.com/on-road/us/en...y-recalls.html
If you have your VIN number, the above mentioned website will tell you if your 2020 RT is involved. If nothing comes back, call 888-272-9222. They'll be able to clarify.
I did both and mine is unaffected.
2020 Chalk, RT Limited, Dark and matching RT622 trailer and BRP hitch. BRP Drivers Backrest, Auxiliary Light, Garmin Zumo XT, GPS Support, RT Rear Panel and Travel Cover. Spyderpops LEDs on fenders, mirrors, saddlebags, top case and RT rear panel. Spyderpops Rock Guard. BajaRon Swaybar, Wolo Bad Boy horn, Freedom Windshield, Elka Shocks.

My VIN# isn't showing anything due on the website, so I called BRP. The customer service representative says I should take my spyder to the dealer for a visual inspection. So I called the dealer, and he looked up my spyder and said, Yes, you are affected. Parts are now on order.

Same here, they of course have to order parts. Probably back ordered as well.

The recall bulletin does say
Which models are involved?
Specific serial numbers of model year 2020 Can-Am Spyder RT.
but based on the comments above it is hit or miss when checking your VIN. With BRP being closed down maybe they don't have the list of VINs owners can access updated. They probably focused on the dealer site info first.

I just put in my VIN and I’m not part of the recall. I bought my 2020 about a month ago.
So far the only item not working as it should is my outside temperature sensor, it consistently reads 5-10 degrees above the actual temperature. I can live with this one until I take the bike in for the 3000 mile service.

I bet it will always read at least 5 to 10 above just due to mounting location

That's normal, it has been like that since the very first Spyder.
The sensor is mounted low on the engine intake to monitor the air temp for the fuel injection system (ECU).
The display is only for show.

I posted above that my on line VIN checked showed I was not affected. However, after reading Mr. Bling's statement I decided to call the dealer to verify. Yes, my bike is covered in the recall. So, I would suggest everyone call their dealer in an abundance of caution, since it appears the website is not up to snuff.

This is currently a Safety Bulletin so I would not expect anyone will have their VIN cone up in the mentioned site which is for recalls. Everyone with a 2020 should contact their dealer to find out for sure.

I hate to be contradictory, but BRP is calling is a "Safety Recall", not a bulletin.

Check your VIN now. The VIN lookup box on the page linked to in the first post has this note on it:

When I put the VIN in, my vehicle comes up in the lower box but does not say whether or not it is part of the recall. Just gives a vehicle description. Does it give a message when yours is under the recall? It does have the letters DM/D behind it. What does that mean?

The printed notice that I saw said bulletin. But my point is that don’t rely on the VIN lookup at this time, everyone should contact their dealer for a definitive answer.

Yes, it is the red one. I see it now. (Deep marsala red dark edition) DM/D. Thanks for the info. BTW, checked NHTSA and it shows no unresolved safety recalls on my vehicle. I do have the boot issue on the passenger grips but that is aesthetic. Haven't checked for tie wraps under the seat yet.

Its an official NHTSA Safety recall. I posted the bulletin in a separate thread with some other documents as well.
And FYI, its essentially all RTs produced up to Feb 18th according to what BRP has told the NHTSA.

Curious that it doesn't show up on the NHTSA site I linked to above.
