BRP Connect & GPS Apps
I just bought a 2020 RT LTD and am new to the whole BRP Connect thing. I have the Genius Maps app along with the iPhone Maps app. In either of these modes will you be able to get voice commands through the speakers for upcoming turns?

I had the radio tuned to an FM station and I didn't get voice commands. How do you get them through the speakers?

I think the only way you are going to get iPhone maps voice directions (vs. a BRP connect maps app) are if you put your Spyder audio to Bluetooth.

Watch the dash when you expect the voice. You’ll see the display change from FM to Announcement. Then IMMEDIATELY turn the volume up. Typically the Announcement volume is low and needs increased. It’s separate from the radio audio level.

That was my finding as well, and it’s a bit of a pain to fix. The only solution I found was to get the GPS to guide me somewhere, anticipate when it would make an announcement, and hit the volume button when I saw it happening. Timing is everything.

Thanks. I did notice that the radio went silent for a second or two about the time a turn announcement should come. I'll give it a try.
