Fobo 2 Issues - Valve Stems and BRP Connect
First issue... I bought the FOBO 2 for Trike and installed it using the factory rubber valve stems. After reading a few posts about how a TPMS sensor could rip the rubber valve stems off, I decided to have the FOBO chrome stems installed (came with the kit). Well as it turns out the FOBO stems will not work with the Can-Am wheels, they are too short and now I cannot reinstall the sensors. Has anyone else run into this issue? If so what specific valve stems did you use to correct it?
Second issue... It is documented in the forums that FOBO 2 does not work with BRP Connect. Does anyone have an update from Can-Am or FOBO regarding this issue? Has anyone gone back to the original FOBO software using the FOBO 2 sensors?
It is maddening to purchase such a simple product and have to spend time and money to un-****-it. I should have went with the Garmin TPMS
Thanks in advance, Bob

I dropped a line to FOBO last week about the BPR Connect integration. FOBO has submitted everything to BRP, and it's now in BRP's hands.
So... I submitted a "how's it coming" to BRP, and I'm still waiting for their reply.
If it's anything like other BRP bug fixes/mods... it'll be awhile.

I’m having the same issues. I can’t get the new sensors to work with the old software, although the new software will work with the old sensors. I asked FOBO when it make FOBO 2 compatible with BRP Connect, and this is what I got...
“ We are still working with them to make it available for BRP Connect. At this stage, we have released few versions of App for their side to test of the compatibility.”
2020- RT Limited
Chalk White, Can-Am rear passenger armrests, Comfort Seat, Grip puppies, RAM Cup Holders, Providence RAM Mount
FOBO2 TPMS
Aluma MCTXL trailer
BRP hitch

FOBO works fine with stock rubber valve stems. My plan is to replace the stems every tire change to prevent any problems. Not sure there would be any anyway as short as they are.
FOBO Bike 2 app released another upgrade today. As they have done on other recent updates under What's Pending: - BRP Connect Integration.

Received an email from BRP today (yeah, I know) and they said FOBO2 should work, and that I might need to get the latest firmware flashed on the RT... and to contact my dealer.
Anyone know what the current level of firmware is for a 2019RT? IIRC, I'm sitting at 20.8, which I thought was the latest.

Not positive, but it looks like my 2020 RT has version 030.70.

20.8 is supposed to be the latest for 2018 - 2019.

I completely disagree with the "replace valve stem" recommendations and here's why.
I just upgraded my original FOBO with the newer version. There was nothing wrong with the originals, but wanted the upgradable firmware and better battery life.
I used the original stems on the FOBO.
The first thing I did after removing the originals was to compare them to the FOBO 2.
The Fobo 2 is smaller AND lighter then the originals .
Since FOBO did not make a "recommendation" to replace the stems for the originals and there would be less effects of centrifugal force on the smaller, the recommendation given for FOBO 2 is at best a CYA and NOT supported by science.
Naturally this is just an IMHO, do what you must, but it makes no sense to replace with metal stems.

I called BRP last week about Connect and AccuWeather.
They stated "we're aware of AccuWeather and are working on it. But we didn't know about FOBO2."
BRP should completely outsource their entire IT group instead of just the Connect developers (Bosch?).
Edit to add: I've only called them twice before and sent 3-5 emails on FOBO2. *sigh*

The shorter stems are for F3's as they won't fit on the OEM stems. For the RT's, just install them to the OEM stems. Have had them for over 2 years and no problems. It's been known that FOBO ii is ready for BRP C but it's been over a year and still no updates. The 2020's have a different dash version due to the different buttons. Still waiting for an update for the 2018/19's. I've emailed them for months and all I get is "We're working on it" or "its already done" They just don't know what they're doing! Sad.
