    Default 2019 RT Ltd Radio

    Hi,
I just yesterday picked up my new 2019 Spyder RT Ltd from my dealer about 60 miles from my home. On the way home I took a quick shot at using the joystick to turn on the radio - couldn't get it done! I spent some time last evening reading the not very helpful owner's manual on setting up /controlling / using the radio. There was about 1/2 page of EXTREMELY general info. I expected I'd have a learning curve with the electronics after moving from my 2016 Spyder to the 2019, but I hoped there would be good detailed info in the owner's manual - not so! Can anyone recommend where I can find better info? Thanks in advance!

I had the same problem setting up stations on my 2019 RT Ltd when I first got it and someone on here had posted that they had left out part of the instructions and once I read that it fixed my problem. Not sure who posted it, but you do a search.

Pushing the joystick to the up position and holding will activate the radio. You will see the volume increase. It takes about 3/4 of the way for me to hear it good.

Changing stations...I have figured out how to get the one station I listen to in the area. Still have not tried to get the pre-sets working.

I also find the manual to be complicated on some of the dashboard stuff.

If your trying to learn BRP Connect there is a good Facebook group that has lots of great information, it is called BRP Connect Users Group.

On the 2020 RT they added two options for adjusting the radio since people didn’t care for only having the joystick.

If it's like the pre-2018 RTs the Spyder radio does not turn on and off in the usual sense. It's either have the volume up, or muted. Power does not turn and off.
