The cure?
Just a thought but since this virus is mostly spread by close contact in confined areas in a nutshell, maybe all we need to do is get out for a little wind therapy and ride. Do you think we can get the weather to cooperate a little?

Been riding as weather allows. Warmer, but now wet most of the time. Since gas here in our town is down to $1.80 we took a nice ride along the Ohio River yesterday in the Tacoma. I will avoid crowded or busy areas and keep up with the common sense hand washing etc. but I will not crawl under the bed and hide.

80 to 85 degrees here. The sun is shining, no rain in sight. Still have to wear a face mask. There is a thick layer of oak and pine pollen covering everything. It is all over the roads too. If you are behind another vehicle the pollen stirred up will make you sneeze and your eyes run water. Trying to mow the yard, you need a dust respirator. No escape from it and no sense in washing it off of the vehicles. They will just be covered again tomorrow. No corona virus out here, but the pollen is everywhere.

With so many working from home here now, roads have fewer cages. Better riding for me!

Ha! We have now been ordered to shelter in place for 3 weeks. Wind therapy is forbidden unless for an approved reason. Is buying beer an approved reason? I can fit a case in the frunk if I take it out of the box

For what it's worth, I approve of your reason. But that probably wouldn't fly far with your local officials.

I’m all over beer being a valid reason. I think some ought to invent a frunk cooler that would slide right in. In the meantime I wonder if the frunk would hold ice to keep your beer cold?

Sorry off topic with this, starting tomorrow all schools are closed, and all bars, and restaurants are closing per the governor.
Wind therapy for sure!

Michigan
Schools closed earlier this week in Michigan. Might not open until September. My son (the 5th grade teacher) is glad about that, but worried about his wife's planned surgery for this month. Important surgery that should have been done last year. (He didn't approve of the amount of TP i had, so he just delivered me some. Without entering the house.)
All restaurants in Michigan are now take out or delivery only. i fear for the small independent businesses in town. Big ones too, I guess.

A cure---
A possible medicine that may help a lot----
Hydrochloraquin was used in the SARS epidemic a few years ago. Inexpensive and fairly common generic drug. Been Used for years. How about giving it a try.

As I understand it, they have tried or talked about chloroquin. This is primarily an anti-malaria drug, but they are recommending it for pneumonia caused by Covid19. It's still best to avoid getting the virus by self-isolation, hand washing etc.

In all seriousness though, my prayer is for everyone to get through this with as little hardship as possible and that the whole thing would pass through quickly. Hope to see many of you in Deadwood this summer.

This morning, just south of Carson City, there were several inches of accumulated snow on the ground. This afternoon, it was almost all gone. This evening, it snowed again. If it melts off by tomorrow afternoon, I'm disconnecting the F3 from life support and going for a ride no matter how cold it is.
