    Default Tail light Mod

Decided to give this a shot. I drilled out the black back side of the tail light with a 1/4" drill. Just through the black to the red reflector and then added a reflective aluminum to the inside walls of the fixture. Not to bad for brightness either.

Very delicate touch on drilling through the black plate and not nicking the reflector.

    Default Tail light

I used a drill press with a stop on it so it would not penetrate the lens.

Great simple idea, no doubt someone will be selling pre-modified parts on eBay soon (like the trunk spring for $25.45).

I thought about doing that but was worried about messing up the reflector. I just replaced the whole thing. Very cool though!

I just went to a Bike shop and picked up a tail light that I thought would look good. Mine is oval and the light is on when running. No more reflector on the plate light.

Wouldn't it look good if someone could figure out a way to carve out the shape of a spider instead of drilling holes.
