Have a new 2020 RTL. 500 miles. Already had dealer replace left front out of round factory Kenda. Ordered a pair of new Kenda KR20 Kanine's, to mount on spare wheels. Factory tires had usual massive balance weights on them. New Kanine's balances with 1/2 oz on left and 3/4 oz on right side. Both perfectly round😁 what a difference!! Rides smooth and straight. Handles great.

Well that's gotta be a good start & a fair bit of an improvement from Kenda! Hope it keeps on going that way... Good Luck!
I just got a 2020 RTL and was wondering which version of Kenda tires it came with. They just say Kenda Radial on them. Should Kanine be on there somewhere if they are the new version?

The 2020 RT I saw had the Kanine's mounted. The dealer didn't even know they were different. So I'm not sure if the Kanine's came on all 2020's. Or if it's just the recent ones that have them. But if the early reports are any indication. I would say BRP finally, after 12 years, has gotten it right. We will have to see how the wear pattern goes.
Good thing if BRP is now installing Kanines on the new RT's. I am guessing if that is the case, their backup tire inventory has been cleared of the original OEM's...or...maybe installing the new Kanines as a premium add on for their now premium RT.
This could also be a dicker factor when purchasing a new RTL. A fresh set of Kanines installed.
Currently Owned: 2019 F3 Limited, 2020 F3 Limited: SOLD BOTH LIMITEDS in October of 2023.
I'm glad to see this. I'll be needing tires soon, and I'll feel much better with an improved tire that meets BRPs requirements for compatibility with the Spyder's high tech suspension.

I don't think anyone has posted that " for special motorcycle use only " is on the new Kanine's ……. Could someone who actually has them clarify this .….. Thanks from all of us Spyder owners …… Mike
So no one has to go blind or spend a 1/2 hr. trying to get the answer ….. The New Kanine tire is labeled " for special motorcycle use only " ….which leads me to believe it isn't any stronger than the originals …… because - " f s m u o " is a Warning …… good luck …. Mike
The image is not that clear, but doesn't the OP's photo 152023 show the word Kanine at about 5'oclock on the sidewall?
Yes, they do show Kanine, but I’m not sure what point you are making there, japgen. The OP had his dealer change his tyres to Kanines, which he then photographed.

So sorry, my mistake. I thought there was some confusion about what tires had been mounted. In re-reading the thread, it's clear.

The new Kenda tires might be better made than the previous models but the main take-away is that they are still only 2 ply sidewalls that probably require higher psi which might make them a little rougher riding. This is just speculation on my part but I'm extremely happy with my Federal Formosa AZ01s running 17psi.
