Interesting as I am also 5'7" with a 29" inseam and I had no issue reaching the brake pedal on my test ride. In fact I never gave it a thought, but did notice that I would have to have the handlebars closer to me for comfort.

Love my newly acquired 2014 RT. I'm only 5'4" tall; and could not reach the brake pedal on the 2020! With my last (3) 2-wheelers (Harleys) I had to spend thousands of dollars to lower and modify them to let me be safe and comfortable on them. I put over 100,000 miles on those bikes; but as an official "Old Geezer",
I'm loving the RT's riding position and Reverse gear!!

I promised myself a new Spyder when I turn 70. That's two years away. Until then I will just keep putting on the miles on my 2015 F3!

When to check out the 2020 rt , good changes from the 2019 , but I would not by first model year of a updated unit. The next year or so it will be move improved .

like the seating position on my F3 ltd better.

    I just traded my 12 for a 19.
So I'm keeping it, hopefully for a long time (had the 12 for 8 years).
I'm (kind of) alone in my thinking the new 2020 Spyder is an ugly duckling. I just don't care for it.

I'm keeping my 2016 for two reasons. One: The 2020 is FUGLY ugly. Two: If I wanted an F3 I would buy one, i don't so I won't be buying a 2020 RT.

I love the lines of the body and I loved the fact that I could actually use the running boards to get on the bike without splitting my inseam of my jeans. It was new. I loved new, especially in a Spyder. I now have 71,000 miles on her that I put on all by myself. It fits me and I have all the goodies that I wanted installed on her. In the foreseeable future (maybe next year) I will probably see if I can find a low mileage or possibly a left over 2019 RTL. But until then, I will ride my beloved trike until I find a 2019 that speaks to me and begs me to take her home.

And here is the part that may offend some of you, I think the new 2020 RTL Spyders are butt ugly. I don't want one of those chopped up machines touching my delicate bottom. I don't want my feet stretched out in front of me (as I am very short). I don't like the way they look at all and I would rather stick to the years before 2020. And I don't want to "build" my own RTL. I want one already put together and fitted the way it is suppose to be, as in previous years. I feel that Can Am has done a disservice to the faithful buyers of the previous years RTL model. They actually looked like a trike and not like a chopped up wanna be sportster. Why would Can Am think that the RTL model should look like an F3? I think the F3 is butt ugly too.

Flame on Spyder Riders! I'm a big girl (sort of), I can take it.
You are not alone! I feel the same way, and also have a 2016! Mine only has 6500 miles or so on it though.

My wife kept her '14 RT-S SM6 also. She has custom artwork on it and loves it. Me, I bought a 2020 RT Limited Petrol Dark and used my black '14 RT-S SM6 as a trade-in. Then the next day decided I wanted it back. LOL 3 spyders for 2 riders. I may end up selling the black after de-farkling it a little.

Did you ever have the feeling that you got the best of the litter? I am so enthralled with everything about my F3L - the way it fits me, the contrasting colors, the bits of chrome, the 4 cases including a top case that easily swallows two full face helmets, my favorite Spyder instrument panel, the way it handles, the ease of servicing and much more. Does the new RT interest me? Not in the least.

Within the last 6 months I have had my 2010 opened up and replaced plugs and wires so now it is idling nice and smooth. I put new brake pads in and bled the brakes. I put a newer seat on it from a 2014 that had maybe 50 miles worth of use on it. I put two new front tires on it last week.

So with all that work I am fairly happy with how its looking and running and can't justify getting something new with the high up front cost and depreciation. If you can afford it and it trips your trigger, then by all means get a new one and keep the economy humming.

As is evident by my signature I've added a couple "safety" features to my 2014 RTL and made it my own.
This machine hasn't given me one concern putzing around town or on any of our extended road trips.
No plans to part with it!

I own a 2014 RTS SM6 and a 2017 F3 LTD. As much as I love the look of the new 2020 RT's, I can't bring myself to getting rid of my manual transmission. It is a great option for when to the F3.

Not until the coronavirus situation calms down and BRP puts their demo teams on the road again. Did you see their post about halting all the dealer demo visits? It's in the vendor section.

Seems a lot of us are quite happy with our current setups and no plans to buy a new 2020. Awesome to read about others that got them and are enjoying them.

In these questionable times, beyond our Spyder being customized to what we want, it is nice that it is bought and paid for a while back. These past couple of weeks and upcoming weeks may alter the intentions of my original topic.

Looked at a new '20 RTL friday. Thought I wanted to trade my '17 RTL in on one but thats not going to happen now. I sat on it an didnt like how I fit on the seat an would have to pay for different handle bars. Dont care for all the black plastic instead of paint an to me it doesnt look all that good to me up close. If I do get rid of my RTL in a few yrs it will be for an F3 instead unless they change the styling to much an make it an ugly ducking too. Then I will keep mine till I quit riding. All of you that have bought a new '20 RTL enjoy it an ride safe.
