    Default Using CD Player

Has anyone hooked a portable cd player to the audio jack and played it?

CD's, what are they? I use them as coasters. You are much better off using an IPOD or MP-3 player due to a CD player will most likely skip when you hit bumps.

Yes I did. On smooth roads it worked ok. Bad roads not good. Bruce

Playing the MP3s off of a thumb drive is a lot better. They don't skip and you can put hours of them on the 32 gig thumb drives.

One of my Grandkids read the OP in this thread, and asked me in all seriousness "What's a 'portable cd player'?? Is it something like those 'rotary dial telephones' you told us about??

Rip the CDs to an iPod and use it. If your Spyder is 2017 or earlier you can control the iPod from the handlebar. I think with the 2018 and newer you best use a USB memory stick.

Hell, we still listen to cassette tapes. MP3?? Is that a Military Police third class? I tried ripping a CD, it was hard to do. I once hit my thumb while driving a nail. Is that a thumb drive? A memory stick - my dad used to beat me with one. Hoo Boy, I remembered not to repeat what I got hit for.

My mom and dad (73) up to last year used cassettes and CD in the car. I bought them an ipod. They both said forget it. I set it up and now they say its the greatest thing since sliced bread. They actually go out in to the car to listen to music instead of their CD’s in the house. Get your grandkids to set it up for you. The ipod is LIFECHANGING!
