Loud shifting
Most of the time my 2019 f3L shifts quiet, but today it was very loud mostly Down shifts. Check oil good the bike has less then 3000 miles . What would cause this ?

How loud is loud...
Mine definitely is louder downshifting.
I believe the first service is due at 3000mi (oil change).

Most of the time its just a click , but yesterday it was a more metallic clunk on down shifting same as me or auto up shifts were loader as well . how does this change on one day to the next ? its got about 700 miles before the 3000 mile service and being broken in .

I was hearing the same loud clicks when upshifting so I changed the oil at 3000 miles with a full synthetic oil . It made a big difference, the shifts from 1-2 and 2-3 I get a slight click. From 3rd on up its pretty quiet. The downshifting was not an issue with mine.

I am not saying the shift did not get louder in just one day, but think about if you maybe wore a different helmet, or changed the windshield angle, or maybe just got over a head cold.

NO every thing same , but the sound when it down shifted , my wife on the back also commented on whats up . will take it for a ride today and see if its the same ,

I'll second that. Close the throttle for downshifting, keep it open for upshifting.

Thanks for all the input . I have been very careful on the throttle , some days with all conditions same , smooth as silk , other days metallic clunk 600 miles to 3000 oil change and end of break-in . Just going to live with it and at service get full synthetic oil .

Someone posted a video a while back discussing this issue. in a nutshell it said the transmission on our Spyders is what they use in race cars and are loud and clunky but very durable. Ryde it like you stole it.

The only issue I have had is after the first oil chang I did on it, I went on a ryde and when I got to the gas station, it would not want to shift into first. come to find out, I had not read the owners manual correctly on how much oil to put in. It says put 5 quarts in then get it to operating temp and add more to get close to full. I was on the min mark. It was OK to ryde the day like that but I added more when I got home and from then on, It never happened again.
