Alternate oil filter
Oil filter choices up to now AFAIK have been
Factory Can Am
HiFlo HF556
K&N KN556
I found another, just an FYI for those that may be interested. I'm not endorsing or discounting any filter.
Looking for a HF556, Amazon was nice enough to inform me that others have looked at the K&N, and at Outlaw Racing.
I clicked up the Outlaw, and found a ORF556, that looks amazingly like the K&N.
Just for giggles, I threw one in the cart to get to the free shipping breakpoint.
It looks fine, (pics below next to a HiFlo), and the Outlaw ORF556 looks identical to the K&N. Considering the K&N is made in China, and this looks the same, I figure it's simply a rebadged K&N for Outlaw. Specs on the box indicate 99% efficient at 20 microns, (IMO pretty optimistic if true... Many premium filters can't even get close) and meet or exceed OEM specs.
8 filters will set you back a whopping 36.95.
Enjoy.

Can you provide a link to your source for the Outlaw filter?

If one doesn't want to buy 8 oil filters, I found them on eBay, $9.95 for one, or $13.95 for two, or $19.95 for four. Free shipping.

Great deals out there! I do like to buy 2 packs (or more now!) and good oil in bulk on sale. I'm a crazy person that changes oil on new RT (well new in 2016) very often, these toys are pricey!

" O " rings I have a 2014 RT …. I have done 11 oil changes with the SAME " O " rings and no leaks …. Until one breaks or I get leaks, I'll keep the OEM ones on ….. something I have learned over time " if it's not broke - leave it alone " ….. good luck …. Mike

For my one oil change so far, Ron hooked me up. Since I didn't know what the pO had done or used, I wanted a comprehensive all-in-one kit.

I had a K&P filter on my H-D for a few years. It worked just fine, but I got tired of cleaning it. Sold it on a H-D forum and went back to conventional filters. You can buy (5) BajaRon kits for the price of one K&P..
