Confused about Baja Ron Swaybar install procedure
Surfing some threads about this sway bar installation, I am getting conflicting results.
Can the frunk be removed or not ??
I'm thinking of removing mine not only to gain easier access to the sway bar, but to reinstall that pesky left foglight cover. However, some have said it is NOT RECOMMENDED removing the frunk.
Frankly, I don't see any problem removing it for the sway bar install.
What say the pros ????
(Oops. The title should say "Swaybar", lol).

There is no reason not to remove the frunk when doing the swaybar install.
If you have other things to do while you're working on it pull it off.
There are a bunch of people that will probably chime in saying you don't need to take the frunk off to replace the foglight bulb or cover.
I find it 1000 times easier to take it off than to fight with the limited space and loss of skin to do it with it in place.

I did the swaybar install took less than 20 minutes and I did not remove frunk..just followed video easy peasy!

If you need to remove it to do other stuff then take it off. If your just fitting the bar then there is no need to remove it.

I may be incorrect but believe his Spyder has a bump skid also. That may complicate removal of the frunk somewhat or hinder installing the bar possibly.
Regardless it is merely time. If the frunk is removed, reconnecting the airboot to the airbox can challenge a few people.

There is no reason not to remove the frunk if you need to but....
Removing the frunk does nothing to help with installing a sway bar on your 2018 RT. Its also not needed to remove it to replace the fog light rear cover.

Wow, good memory !!
I'll have to disconnect the wiring of both my bumpskid LED and Spyclops when I remove the frunk, but that's really no biggie.
Yeah, that airboot thing might prove to be a challenge, but I'm hoping it's easier than popping the foglight cover back on.

Like I said, I must've spent 2 hours trying to pop that damn cover back on. I tried coming from the top, from the bottom and from the side with no success. I'm thinking the ones who easily got theirs on are ones who has the 998 motor, because my 1330 has this air intake tube that is in the way. I couldn't even come close to placing that plastic tab on the slot at the bottom prior to snapping the top part.
I just don't get how it's done....

Excellent step by step video on front end removal in real time. 20 minutes going at a slow pace. Add to that bumpskid, which should be easy with a cordless screwdriver with a torx 30 bit. He does call out it doesn't add a lot to swaybar install, but gives you lots of access for everything else. He does address the airbox connection, easy after you watch the video!
