So, anyone with experience on this new Kenda tire? Is it appropriately named Kanine, meaning it's another dog like the previous offering? Or is it a better tire taking a bite out of the pavement?

I'm waiting for the weather to make the ride to get my rear Kanine installed.

Can I ask what inflation pressure you used for the rear?

    Thanks, Hank

Question re: OEM rear Kenda. On a F3-S ridden solo (and "normally"), taking into account proper inflation/balancing/wear/tear, how long "should" a stock rear tire last? 10K + miles reasonable ?

I consistently got 15K. I kept the inflation at 26# to allow for the center bulging when the tires are heated up. The only exception over 5 Spyders was the soft compounded tires that came on the 2014.

Mine is just over 10k and the tire needs replacing. Could I push it further? Probably... and some people push them pretty far.

I just ordered a Kenda Kanine... so I’ll see how long those last myself.

Just got my Kenda Kanine put on today... it seems great and rides nice, did about 50 miles on it. Time will tell.

I had my Kanine rear tire installed today also. I rode about 70 miles home on it. Part of the trip was up to 85mph, and also went down some twisty roads at much lower speeds. I swear it rides waaaaaay smoother than before, but could just be my imagination.

It will be interesting to see how it wears. But reports of smoothness is definitely good news. If this is a common trait, it will show a level of quality control not available in the previous offering.

I've decided to pull the trigger on the new Kenda Kanine tires. My BIL needs a rear for his F3. And I am not happy with the Falken 912 I have on my RS. It's fine in dry. But gets pretty greasy in the rain. Strangely, the 912's I have on the front seem fine, rain or shine. So I purchased 2 rear Kanine tires.

I was at the local dealership on Tuesday. They were putting together a new 2020 RT (Petrol color). Awesome color! It was the only 2020 RT they have and it was in the initial stages of assembly. But I was impressed with the tread on the tire and the fact that there was almost no balance weights on any of the 3 wheels. A far cry from the Kenda's we've been getting where half the wheel was covered in lead. I don't so much mind the low mileage if the traction is above par.

I am thinking there are a lot of gullible folks here...

If you have ever read instructions for anything made in China, you quickly realize how poorly they translate into written words from one language to American English.

Consider, is the Chinese translation for Canine = Kanine? What tire company in their right mind names a tire Dog?

So in short, the Kenda Kanines are merely a dog of a tire.

Ron, I was waiting to hear some one talk about how well they balanced out, if I am not right you are the first! This is good news!!

If the tires you've put on your Spyder/Ryker say 'Kenda' anywhere on their sidewalls, they'll NEED to be run at or very close to the pressures shown on your Tire Placard, and SHOULD NOT BE RUN at the lower pressures recommended for differently constructed, stronger, heavier, 'real' car tires!
