Default New horn might be a problem

I put Wolo low tone horn on my Ryker, sounds like a loud horn from the old days. A 5 minute job, problem is that is requires a 10 amp fuse and the Ryker only has a 7.5 amp fuse. Putting a larger rated fuse could cause problems. I am hoping that the horn will not need as many amps as stated but will pick up some extra fuses just in case. Only time will tell if it will be an issue. The horn was around $11.00 on amazon and there are many to choose to choose from, probably any are better then the wimpy beep beep than is stock on the Ryker. I will get another for my Honda.

Use a relay. Wire the horn button to actuate the relay. Run a 14 gauge wire directly from the battery to the relay contacts and then to the horn. Be sure to put a 10 amp fuse between the battery and the 14 gauge wire.

Good idea, whatever it takes to get something working that might save my behind.

You need a relay, as stated.
Most Advance Auto parts will have one in stock.
From battery, through 10 A fuse to relay input. 12 V wire from old horn to trigger. One to ground, one to new horn.

Relay is the way to go. That's how I wired my WOLO. Easy Peezy!
