Ram Cup Holder Mounting - on the Right or Left side of Handlebar?

I just installed my Ram cup holder on the left side of the handlebar by the switches. Just curious to know where some of you mounted them ? Is there an advantage to choosing either the right or left side, or is it just your own preference ? Only referring to handle bar mounts.
I put my wife's on the right side. That way she can grab the drink with her left hand and still hold the throttle with her right hand. Being at a stop is even better
Have both drink and phone mounted on left for that reason.

Most folks seem to put it on the left side.... be careful with that type of cup holder, when you hit a bump the bottle
likes to fly out... here is the cure

This is working well for me. I use Google maps as a routing GPS and turn on an only Garman I have because it is better at displaying the speed limit on roads. Both the drink holder and the cell phone holder are bicycle ones I modified. That cell phone holder is rated the second best at securing the phone. And both are cheap to purchase.

I feel it kind of depends if you are right handed or left handed???????? Mine is on the left cuz I am right handed.. Now there is something to be said about having to take the right hand off of the throttle also???

I have my cup holder mounted on the left and my phone mounted on the right. I have also mounted my Motojug on the left passenger footpeg. The hose then wraps around me so when I get off it comes with me and doesn't get caught on me or things.

I disagree/ Most cup holders I have seen are on the right side
With the cup holder on the right, you must remove your hand from the throttle to get a drink
or I guess you can reach across and get it with your left hand.
I always mount my bike from the left side. A hold over from my cowboy and horse riding days I guess. When I mounted my drink holder on the left, I had interference between my drink and big ol' fat belly when getting on and off. So, it went to the right side. Probably just me and my unique way of doing things. Right side works well..... Jim

Put one on both sides, then you always have plenty to drink.

Regarding taking hand off of the throttle to get a drink - I most always forego sipping unless the throttle can be left on cruise control. Another hold-over from GL1800 riding.

Mine is on the left side. My only wish is that I could place it between the handlebars and the dash but I cant as it hits when making a sharp turn to the right.

I keep my cupholder on the left side handlebar. When I take a drink, it is usually at a traffic light. A flexible hose connected to a cup of water would also work while you are on the move. JMO
I'd be happy to mount a cup holder anywhere, but there's no way to drink on the move, with my tight, full-face Arai. No room under the chin piece to get a straw up there.
(Don't tell me to get a modular helmet. Nobody makes one for a long-oval head -- that's why I'm stuck with Arai.)
