The tech guys said the bar is the same as old, but the chassis was changed. Seem to handle very well. On the alignment, I’m not allowed to wear my Squared Away hat......
I left my lasers at home. I will be back to that in August, and can provide an opinion. As always, I’ll check it for free. If it’s good, cool. If not, I’ll fix it. But, when I’m not working for them.

Way better!!
I was told it has a belt tensioner, but I will take it apart to check it myself. Have not ridden the big highway miles yet to see if it needs one or not; but will soon!!

All but 3 are in Texas. Like 20 stops. Where in Texas are you; I’ll let you know what’s closest.

Trying to consolidate 2020 RT questions here. Latest question is:
Will my 15’ trailer hitch fit? I know Hotglue has one, and I’ll see him today. I’ll try it. The part number is different, but, might be that the differences are in the harness. Another question was “how do you remove the rear seat”? The answer is raise front seat with key turn, reach under, undo 2 catches, remove seat. The rear trunk is removable. Turn release, lift, push safety catch, lift, unplug, remove. The trick to put it back is the catch has to be aligned to let it click in. Took a bit of practice, so, try it at home a couple of times to get it down.

Yes! We fitted a hitch on a 2020! Took it off of Hotglue’s bike, and it bolted right back on! I believe the different part number is the wiring harness, but, have not tried it.

Wow, I'm glad I took the riding course in December in Vegas while you two were still here. Last Saturday, took a 2020 RT Limited at Pro Shop Motorsports for a 35 minute ride. Really enjoyed it. Sure fits me better than the 2019. Hope you and Ann enjoy your new role with BRP!

Joe does the new RT use the same set up for the W/S where it rides on the T shaped fitting? The one that is prone to breaking. Tom
Baloo is my name. Spyders are my game. Well, it's a doo-bah-dee-doo, yes, it's a doo-bah-dee-doo, I mean a doo-bee, doo-bee, doo-bee, doo-bee, doo-bee-dee-doo. And, well, now. Ha ha! What have we here?

Same as the old one, it appears. While some broke, once people figured out you can’t leave it full up or down, fewer broke. I have only fixed 4, and Ann’s was under warranty, so I did not have to fix it. In 72,000 RT’s, if 72 broke I would be shocked. Not a high failure rate.

Joe, have you found any need to laser true your 2020 RTLs, and about the belt pensioner, did you find one, if not, is there a need for one?

This question came up before. He said he had to leave his laser alignment cap hanging in the garage when he took on this assignment so don't look for an answer one way or the other. If he does laser align the Spyder he has he probably won't tell us.

Got in over 100 miles today, doing a route recon. Fun! Taking dealership people on rides tomorrow, setting up our tent, tables, etc. a quick wipe down of dust, and we are ready for people on Thursday. Come on out! Still slots open!!

OK, thanks, maybe I missed that comment. Sad that Joe can't respond, but I understand why.

Today I had the pleasure of meeting MissouriBoy while we were in Pharr, TX. We had been talking for a while before I asked if he was a Spyderlover. It is always nice to put a face with a name.

Tonight we noticed a new feature on the 2020RT that we hadn’t previously seen. There is a light inside the rear trunk that comes on with the key in the On position. I don’t remember there being a light in the F3 Ltd rear trunk but I could be wrong. Nice feature when you’re fumbling around after dark
