The only way to the island is by ferry, right? The website says attendees are responsible for scheduling ferries. How complicated a process is it to get a ferry trip? Can you just show up anytime before a scheduled departure and be able to get on, or do you have to schedule your trip hours or days in advance?

You can check sailings at bcferries.com I believe is website but you can google it. Just arrive before sailing time you want and bikes / Spyders load first. Try to arrive at least 45 minutes before sailing leaves. We are booked in event, was Campbell River last year and a great turnout with over a 100 for dinner.
