    Default Aftermarket Clutch

Has anybody considered changing the primary clutch out for an aftermarket version? Example QSC REV X or CV Tech. They offer a lower start ratio, less rotating mass and much improved shift rate. Speaking from first hand experience with an 850 Can Am outlander there is a massive difference in power output to the wheels. After doing a little research it seems that the primary on the Ryker is used on the Can Am Maverick and Defenders. So there is for sure aftermarket clutches to choose from. Also the belt used on the Ryker is from the most powerful Ski doo in the line up an 850 two stroke with 165 HP, so no problem there. I will be looking into this option a lot more and might just have to be the guinea pig. Interested to hear if its been done. Cheers

Question, ECM & TCM compatibility? Doubt it without some sophisticated programming work the average stiff is incapable of performing.

The ECU does not control the clutch operation. Its operation is all based on centrifugal force. The CVT shift rate, max shift speed and engagement RPM are all tunable with different ramps weights and springs.

1330 clutch is not centrifugal, is hydraulic.

1330 clutch is not centrifugal, is hydraulic. Perhaps we're talking about different engines.

He is talking about a Ryker. I believe you would have no problem.

I agree I think these aftermarket units would work just fine but it might be cheaper/easier to just switch out weights, springs and helix on the stock clutches?
