    Default 2015 SST Coolant Leak

    Rode SST all summer - no coolant drop, has been sitting for 2 months now has puddle of coolant on rt side in frt of foot rest-also did this last winter- rode 9 k this summer all good - no leaks ? Ideas?

    could it be leaking from the overflow tank? possibly crack in the hose to the rad.

    Cracked reservoir tanks are not un-common ….. A loose or not properly put on, coolant Cap has been re-ported more than a few times .… IMHO it is easy to get it on wrong ….. good luck ….. Mike

    I too, had the same issues. After removing all the panels to expose the radiator hoses, I found that the factory installed hose clamps allowed leaks at the radiator. Changed the factory clamps for worm gear clamps and fixed the problem.

    Good old cold weather leak at the clamps. The first year we went to silicone hose on about a hundred trucks it was like a mechanics circus tightening clamps.

    Get rid of the factory oetiker clamps and replace them with worm screw ones.
