    Default Gas door post #2

Now you can see how it is done, all you do is mark where you want to
cut the plastic pan ( NOT THE UPHOLSTERY OR FOAM ) by doing this
you have made a door and are using the foam and vinyl as the hinge.
    EASY
you can cut the plastic pan with a sharpe box cutter or if you have a dremel use that.
Check it out before and after.

It seems like a great idea on the face of it, and yes, very easy to implement.
Would you also need a little velcro at the front to lock it in place?
I'd be concerned about the reliability, though.
How many fill ups does it take, until the vinyl disintegrates ?

Just my opinion, I could be wrong, and if I am, I'm sure someone on this site will let me know.
If it ain't broke, don't break it.

At this time I have done about 80 or so and not one has failed, velcro is an idea as you see in the first photo
but not always needed. when I do them here in the shop I take the foam and peel it back and put some
seat belt material on the pan just for insurance and glue the foam back in place it will never fail.
