RDL Heater hook up
Hello,
I have a Russell DL which I love by the way. It is heated with wiring included. Question is how to hook up. I was hoping to bribe someone to help but no luck. (I have some physical issues which makes it harder)
Anyhow, Russell says you can either run directly to the battery, or best to cut off the terminal ends and use an accessory fuse so that when you turn your key off, the heater will turn off as well. I've seen some posts but most of it is greek to me.
i'm not sure what an accessory fuse is! I know where the fuse box is but that's about it. i'm a little hesitant to have my dealer do it. Anyone do this and have instructions or videos or any advice? Sorry to be a pain but have this nice heater I can't use.
Thanks!

What I did is run wires directly from the battery with an inline 10 amp fuse on the positive wire back to an 30amp relay. The relay is powered from the Spyders accessory wire connection. This way the seat heater power is only on when the Spyder is running, but is pulling the power directly from the battery.
Works great and I don't have to worry about overloading any wires, or circuit.
I will be in San Diego from Jan 19th - 25 and would be happy to install this for you. PM me if you want to set something up.

PW2013STL......May I suggest installing a fuse block in his RT? That would facilitate any future electrical add-ons. I have mine powered through a relay that is powered by the customer accessory connection in the frunk. I mounted it just above the battery in my F3L.
