Default Mono Seat Cowl & Sport Rack?

Does anyone have photos of these together on a Spyder? I'm not visualizing how they'd work together. Are they perhaps mutually exclusive? Thanks!

You gotta choose one or the other. I went with sport rack and backrest.

not sure where you are going with this post? I have the sport rack, back rest. I can still seat my mono cowl on the back but it is pointless to have the BRP backrest attached with the mono cowl attached....still it makes a strange statement: I COULD take you with me, but I choose not to. Mono Cowl will fit in the trunk, as the backrest will also fit (if trunk is empty).

I bought my Spyder with the sport rack option and wanted to see if it could still be used as a rack (not as a seat back platform) when the mono cowl was in place. I think I'll wander over to a dealer when I have some timme, as I'm pretty clearly not communicating well.

I'm not a fan of the sport rack look ,prefer the mono cowl and stock tail piece.Problem is I need a backrest for the wife.By the sounds of the above post though you can use your mono seat cowl with the sport rack as csmead has said.Anyone found a solution of mounting the backrest without the rack?

MMG sells a backrest that works with the stock tail piece. The backrest is not as stout as the BRP one but works well.

Went into Paulson's Motorsports in Lacey, Washington and spoke with Chris, their "Spyder Guy". He rydes a beautifully painted (copper) 2008 SM5 and was very knowledgeable about the Spyder. I picked up a pair of rear axle end caps for my ryde and asked about the sport rack and mono seat cowl cowl combination, which he said works fine.

I'd still like to see this setup...

On a separate note, although he sold forty Spyders in the past 15 months, I've only seen one around here. Might be all the hours I'm working, though.
