I never had to disassemble any motorcycle I had to remove the seat.
Evarbody, DO heat the tabs when installing the seat. Makes them more flexible and reduces breakage.

PS - seems to me somebody used heavy duty paper clips that still fit thru the mounting holes to squeeze the tabs - apparently they were able to remove the clips after installation .,,

I'd be interested in knowing how you like the Adv Windshield after you get a few miles on it. I'm leaning towards the same windshield for mine.

Ryker is mostly my wife's ride, and she's 5'6". She asked me to put it on its highest position, as that allows her to look through the windshield. On the lowest position, she said the top edge was right in the middle of her sight line.

When I sit on the bike (I'm 6'3"), I find the highest setting puts the edge in the middle of my eyeline, so I'd probably ride with it lowered....

Will definitely let you know once the weather clears and we can get some miles on it.

Last weekend I installed new 3D LED headlamps from Slingmods. I have only done a little night riding because I was not very impressed with the view the OEM headlights provide. I got instructions from the video on the Slingmods site, and also a couple of Youtube videos. I decided to make it easier and just completely remove the headlight assemblies, since it's only 3 additional screws. It made a nice improvement. Here are a couple of photos of the headlights shining on my garage door, first with the OEMs, second with the new 3Ds:

Today is Sunday, changed the oil on Saturday. Took longer than expected first time and all.

Finally installed the BajaRon sway bar yesterday. Did it without removing the front end. It wasn't too bad. Just takes time is all. Haven't tested it though. It's the wife's bike and it's decked out in hot pink.

I gave my Ryker Rally a good washing today, and sprayed it with Mother's Back to Black.

I didn't realize how close I was to the truck turning into the garage. I ran the Shad hard saddlebag up against my truck, crapping it all up, plus rubbing off the logo, AND I scratched my truck bumper up. So, that's what I did to my Ryker today.

I had some 5mm thick "radiant barrier" insulation left over from doing the shed. So a cut out out a piece and put it up under the saddle. Not directly under the cushion, but wedged up in the framing underneath. Now if it ever warms up around here in N Illinois, I'll test it out.

With both the sway bar upgrade, and moving the front shocks to the #4 line, she handles much better. Well worth the investment.

Also added more tufskin decals to her ride. I'll upload some pics soon.

Today I added the RFY 400mm front shocks that a lot of people have been getting. I noticed a HUGE improvement over the stock Rally front shocks. Much more responsive maneuvering and the bike appears to be less twitchy on the highway.
I got the set that comes with the 10mm bushing option for $89.99 on Amazon.

Later this afternoon I checked the air pressure in each shock and found that one was at 15 psi and the other at 30 psi so I balanced them out at around 15 to 18 psi. I like that I have the option to not only play with air pressure, but the set also came with shock spanner wrenches for adjusting the spring rate. Very cool.

One thing I did notice while installing was the lower bushing is not as long as the oem bushing so the lower end of the spring could be allowed to move back and forth on its mounting bolt. I fixed this by buying some nylon washers at the hardware store and filling the gaps.

Today I went for about a 60 mile ride. Then decided to change the engine oil (4030 miles old) Odometer at 12,585 miles, CVT warning came on at 12,528 miles. So I changed the belt also. What a way to spend the 4th! But I got 'er done.

Over the past 4 weeks I have upgraded my 2020 900 Ryker with a lot of stuff but the most enjoyable so far is the Pedal Commander. Got it when Slingmods had it on sale a couple of weeks ago. Setting is on Sport +3. Man the response time is awesome. Instantaneous. Still working on perfecting my wrist movement.

I call her Boomer, I had to put the ole girl in the Hospital today for a fuel pump, I think? They are going to run a disgnostic test to see what the real problem is that's keeping it from starting. That's what I did to my Ryker Rally today.

I've been adding Mods to my Ryker Rally, aka Boomer. I got it back from the shop at the end of July. Here's a look at it now. I've still got to work on the ties next.
